My Story
Twelve years ago, I hit the redo button and started my life over. I have transformed myself from a hot, steamy, pile of jaded, drunken resentment into an ambitious, opinionated, sober, single mama and high school social science teacher and ASB Advisor (California term for Student Gov’t teacher and Activities Director) who’s ready to do my part to make this world a better place. On my journey from then to now, I’ve overcome incredible odds and have achieved things I never thought I was capable of achieving. I’ve learned so my things about myself, about life, about being a good person, and about being a good mom. Most importantly, I’ve learned not to take life so seriously. There is joy to be had even in the toughest of times, if you choose to see it. I choose to look at life on the bright side. I choose to make the most of the time that I have on this amazing planet we call home and I hope to share with you some of my struggles, my adventures, and my little tidbits of wisdom, delivered with sickening optimism, brutal honesty, and a plethora of colorful language.
